Remembrances

Our pets provide unconditional love, companionship, kindness and support for us. As long as we remember them, they will live in our hearts forever.

We realize how traumatic the loss of a family pet can be and memorializing them may help in a small way.

If you care to honor a special pet that has past, please send us a dedication and a picture if possible. We would be honored to share your memories with others.

* * * EMMA * * *

I was brought to EVH in 2010 because I was an ugly duckling Parottlet due to my habit of feather plucking. The team here at EVH knew that I had potential and deserved love so they decided to adopt me. I now have a big cage, a stuffed cuddling dog to preen and many many fun toys to play with. I do have a favorite toy that I love to destroy so my new family orders a lot of them for me. This helps to keep me very happy and busy so now I don’t pick at my feathers as much.

Parrotlets, if you didn’t know, are the smallest of the parrot species. We are known for our intelligence, affectionate nature and clown like personalities. My see-through home is in the reception area where I can tantalize the two dogs all day.

I still think beauty is in the eyes of the beholder as I know I am gorgeous in my new down feathers. You can say hi to me as well as long as you don’t laugh.

Sir Walter O'Reily McDonald

Sir Walter O’Reily McDonald

When you came into our lives, you were so teeny tiny,
Even tho you were small, oh but you were Mighty.

You brought a great deal of enjoyment into our lives,
One of your favorite games was to chase and eat Flies.

As you grew, you and Dad began to invent games to play,
He would usually win, sometimes he would let you have it your way.

One day we brought home a DOG, at first you didn’t care,
I don’t think it mattered that she was there.

Then when we brought home Another Dog,
I guess you must have thought we were in a fog.

Thru the years we let you have a number of friends,
You had a lot of fun with them, to no ends.

All in all there were really only three,
Dad, Grammy & ME !

Your forever LOVING Mom

DOZER

Dozer

Mom!

Yer never gonna believe this!!! THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL-PLACE IN THE HISTORY OF FOREVER!!! I think its my FAVRIT!!

There’s lots and lots of sniffs! All kinds! They’re my favrit!  There’s beautiful butterflies to chase and there’s soft, green grasses and warm cool breezes.  Sometimes I just lay there and stare up at the sunny skies and watch the big fluffy clouds go by while I think about you.

There’s lots of mountains to play on; in some places there’s even SNOW! It’s my favrit!  There’s big fluffy shade trees and biscuits in the…OH MY GOSH MOM….BISCUITS!!! They ARE my favrit!! The trees are loaded with biscuits and treats, all kinds, yes hanging in the trees here!!! All I have to do is look up and one falls to the ground, just like that.  And guess what?  They’re all healthy treats, Mom!

There’s these little springs, no not that kind, pools of water, spring water….everywhere!  It’s my favrit! No Matter how much slobbers I get in them, they stay fish and you know how I loooove fish (fresh) ice cold water!!  Annnnd the food is ALL healthy and never runs out plus there’s all kinds of variety so we never get bored with the food!  It is my favrit!

There are clear lakes and creeks and streams we can swim in anytime we want! And Mommmmm guess what?  No Dozey DooDoos to pick up here.  I don’t know why but I just don’t poop here….no one does.  I’m thinking since there’s no bad sniffs here, that might be why I don’t have Dozey DooDoos here.  There’s only good sniffs…happy sniffs Mom!!!! I’ll bet that’s yer favrit, huh Mom?

I’ve made SO many friends!!  There’s never an argument….everyone is friends here!!!  All kinds of friends …cats are here too.  And I don’t even have to back into them anymore.  I can just walk up and sniff them and they purr instead of hooking on to my nose!

But here’s the best part Mom, I saved it for the last …..I DON”T HURT!!! Nope, not a lick of pain!  Here, I can run as fast as I want and it doesn’t hurt one single bit!  It’s my favrit cause there’s never suffers here!  We don’t even get dirty ears here, can you believe that?

I do miss you but is doesn’t hurt or make me sad.  Member what I told you?  No suffers here, not even one.  I think about you lots and I can hardly wait to see you again!  And when I see you again, you better water out cause I’m gonna cover you in kisses!  Thank you for taking such good care of me when I was with you.  I love you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!

Yer my favrit!!!! Love Always,  Dozer

Tigger Taylor

Tigger Taylor

Thoughts about Tig by Russell Taylor:

You have always given us you best, love, energy, devotion, and your heart. Some of our memories are:

  • I will always remember you rushing into the house and galloping down the hall bursting into the Master bath to help me dry my legs as I step out of the shower.
  • Eagerly rushing into the house when you come back from a walk with Mom. You always wanted to jump into my lap and help me read or watch tv.
  • Going next door to cheer up Mrs. Catron in her last days. Being at her wake at the request of her husband Jack Catron.
  • Visiting the JW Marketing Support crew at the brickyard. Going down the hall of the trailer and greeting every Graphic Artist and worker.
  • Going to the dentist and seeing your picture on the wall because they too love you.
  • Picking you up at the groomer and asking if you created any problems for them always to be told that Tigger never was bad and always welcome. You seemed to like her Mastiff and the giant liked you too.
  • Eager to drive down to get the paper every morning and being upset if I did not take you.
  • Eagerly meeting Lois or I at the door when we returned for school or an appointment. You always made it a habit to tell us off for leaving you. The high fives we would exchange and then the toy throw down the hall.
  • How you would lure Lois into throwing you treats just before bedtime. She would wear you out by throwing them in a manner and direction that would make you dart all over the house from room to room.
  • Walking down the street in Klamath and people asking about you “where is Tigger”?
  • Knowing that there was always the Right Way, the Wrong Way and Tigger’s Way. You would always re-arrange your blankets, which had to be clean and just do so.
  • The times you would simply whine and look in the direction of the treat storage. Once we did anything you liked you would not let us forget to do it again.
  • Driving you to the Vet, you knew the way and the landmarks and would have your nose pressed against the window. You knew when we would go over the 6th Street overpass you were almost to the Vet.
  • Again at the Vet you had your own pattern. You would march right in and stand on the scale to be weighed because that was what the humans wanted.
