Mary

In 1998, I was looking for a place to work that I would be happy doing my job and be proud of what I was doing. Doctor Everett allowed me to volunteer here at Everett Veterinary Hospital to see if it was a good match for me. My career focus changed from working with people’s medical records to focusing on animals and their records. It was a great match for me. My very first night I was allowed to help with an emergency and I was hooked for life.

I took 4 years off from work to help raise my granddaughter, Allison, and really missed it. My love of the profession even shows in my personal life as my granddaughter’s nick name is Alley Cat. She already talks about becoming a veterinarian when she grows up and working here. It makes me proud.

I was married in 1977 and have a wonderful family including 2 sons, 4 grandkids and 8 adopted grandkids. In what little spare time I have, I like to camp and garden and I enjoy creating an assortment of cards. Recently I’ve started taking classes in cake making.

My love of animals spills into my home through my rescues. I presently have 2 dogs, a lab and bulldog, 2 stray cats and many chickens.
