Dr. Sheree Everett has been a part of
the Klamath Basin community since her graduation from
Veterinary School in 1987.
After completing a B.S. in Zoology from the University of
Washington, a B.S. in Animal Science and a Doctorate in
Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University; she, and
her husband Doug, looked for the perfect place to live, work
and play. With an eye on family and friends in both Washington
and California, the beauty of Southern Oregon and the myriad
of wildlife, Klamath Falls was a natural landing.
Dr. Everett is trained and authorized by both Oregon and
California Fish and Wildlife Departments to provide Veterinary
service to wild animals and is very active in raptor (eagle,
hawks and owls) and mammal rehabilitation.
Sheree decided it was time to pursue her dream.
With experience, confidence and community backing, Everett
Veterinary Hospital opened its doors in 1992. She began her
own practice, with one full time veterinary technician and a
part time receptionist, in a very comfortable, 1800 sq. ft.
Turn of the Century remodel. Hospital construction was a labor
of love and they saw their first patient as the paint was
drying.
Sheree has continued her education and maintains a high degree
of professionalism. She continues to pursue her training in
small animal, companion, avian and exotic pet health care. She
has received accreditation in orthopedic surgery techniques.
Her practice includes complete health care for neo-nates to
geriatrics.
Today, Dr. Everett, and her large professional team, manages an
8,000
+ sq. ft. facility and a full service boarding house. As to
her dream, the address is the same and the Victorian
Architecture remains, but the dream has moved on to the new
century.
Sheree loves photography, is an avid gardener, antiquer, an
active scuba diver, and is very fortunate to love her work.
